Teach botany photography:
Presentation of various lighting techniques (such as balancing the natural light with flash light), choose the best frames and how to deal with the short depth of focus, how to sync an external flash for high exposure times, choice of needed gear (filters, reflectors, sprinkler, scissors, etc.) as well as an indication of the appropriate lenses.
The student after the workshop becomes aware of the need to prepare rigorously and to his liking, the composition of each photograph
as well as the handling of materials / equipment to fulfill this objective.
Program:
A day shooting with Pedro do Canto Brum.
Theoretical part (12.30h – 13.00h) with lunch – presentation of a slideshow.
Practical part (13.00h – 18.00h) – visit to a botanical garden to put into practice what was shown in the slideshow.

– Local – Casa da Cidade, (Rua Aristides Mota, 75 in Ponta Delgada);
– Duration of the workshop – 5,30 hours;
– Maximum number of participants in each workshop – 4 persons;
– Cost per participant – 300,00€ (includes a pen with the slideshow);
– Photo gear required – camera, a 70 / 120mm lens. Trips and any auxiliary materials available on site.
Some notes about the trainer:
I am a professional photographer in advertising photography, I taught at the Porto Polytechnic Institute, the Portuguese Institute of Photography, and several photography workshops of: Product, Architecture, Studio, Gastronomy and View Camera and various camera demos such as Canon, Hasselblad and Leica.
